Description

A very rare original photograph of CF-HTM, an Avro 685 York C.1 of Spartan Air Services at Lasham in 1958; she was originally with the RAF as MW185, and joined Dan Air as G-AMUT in 1944. In 1955, she was sold to Air Charter & Travel as CF-HTM, and is seen here at Lasham after being returned to Dan Air for conversion back to G-AMUT. Sadly, she was written off in May 1958 in a landing accident at Luqa Airport, Malta, when she overran the runway and crashed into a wall at the end of a flight from Northolt. The photograph is approximately 5½ x 3½ inches (135 x 85 mm), and is in Fine condition, with nothing on the reverse.
